Using the Sea-Hawk radar, we have experienced an entirely new world where all false echoes and clutter from sea and precipitation is completely removed from the display. After having tested it on the Stadt Ocean in North West in full storm with snow showers and wave heights up to 10 - 14 meters - it was difficult to understand that it was really possible to have a display picture without clutter, and in the same time with buoys and reefs clearly visible.

Testing a Sea-Hawk Radar

Having had the pleasure of participating in testing of the Sea-Hawk radar,
I have following comment;

Radar systems in the market today are not good enough for the challenges
we have in the coastal areas where we sail with respect to weather and geography. The known radar systems have less performance now than what they had before.

With such a radar system, a new world has opened up for us navigators, we're looking forward to start using such a system when testing is finalized.
